    Fort Meade is home to many military tenants such as the Defense Information School, the Defense Courier Service, the United States Environmental Protection Agency, and the United States Army Field Band. Other major departments that have relocated to Fort Meade include Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and the Adjudication and Office of Hearing and Appeals Offices. The Fort George G. Meade Museum also occupies grounds on post and offers displays including historical artifacts, photographs, documents and paintings highlighting the history of the fort.
